A Journey That Is Eternal

 

Hey there traveler! My name is Franz Rio Ferido Deocares, you can call me Franz, Rio, or even Franz Rio feel free to choose what to call me. I am a fifteen-year-old high school student. I speak three languages Ilocano, Tagalog, and English but I more like speaking in Tagalog or English. Now, let us learn more about myself. Let us begin our journey.

            I was born in a hospital on July 12, 2006; my mom remembered that when I was born, it was raining very hard. I am living in Ferido’s Apartment, San Julian Sur, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur from the very beginning. My mom is a native of Vigan and my dad is from Santiago City, Isabela. They choose to live here in the apartment that my Lola made. I also have an older sister, who is working as a medical technologist. I am now a grade 10 student, studying at Ilocos Sur National High School (ISNHS). In my elementary days I studied in JeNeFa Scholastica, where I graduated as the class valedictorian. Now in high school I try to have good grades and to enjoy my high school life. My mottos in life are “I can shine eternal” and “If others can reach their dreams so can I” both of this mottos are from my late uncle, and it motivates me to keep going on in life. I am an introverted person, I always stay in my room or in my study are, but when I am with my friends, I feel very comfortable with them. My favorite colors are dark green, sky blue, and orange. I am currently learning French, and my favorite country is France. I love listening to K-Pop, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga’s music. My favorite weather is the rainy season; I always feel safe and cozy every time it rains. During my childhood I often get hospitalized because of my weak immune system, I also get bullied a lot because I act like a girl. In fact, I am a boy but I always enjoy watching pageants. For me pageants are stress relieving. During my free time, I always watch pageants in YouTube, listening to music, reading books, sleeping, eating, and I play online games specifically “Genshin Impact”. After I graduate from grade 10, I will take the “STEM” strand in senior high school, after that my plans is to get a forensic science degree or become a medical technologist just like my sister. If given the chance I also want to be a doctor and repay my parents sacrifices for me.

            With all of that said my real goal for now is too live life to the fullest and try to live a happy life. COVID-19 may stop many dreams, but I always think positive that everything will go back to normal. COVID-19 is not the one that will defeat me. So as a traveler that is always shy and quite, every time I fall down I always stand up and dust myself because this is not the end of my world, I will always do my job to get what I want. Once again, I am Franz Rio F. Deocares, a traveler that is shining eternally.

The Modern Me

  We start our year with a bang. Fireworks are blasting in our skies, people are cheering “Happy New Year” some are jumping, and some are praying to give us a beautiful year. As January 1 passes by we can see a lot of post in social media with the captions “New Year, New Me”, “Changing this New Year”, and “Entering the year, with a new me”. Environment for all

As we grow older, we change. Just like our environment, it also changes. As time passes by our environment slowly degrades, we can see this before the pandemic. Before the pandemic people are littering, burning plastics, not following the proper waste segregation, and many more. As we went on lockdown, we have to stay in our homes, which resulted in the healing of our earth. Due to the lockdown we experiences some news that our earth is slowly going back to its original form, and being clean and green again. As we see small changes, we must continue this to see big changes.
