A Phenomenal Woman, with a Genuine Beauty
“Actually God made us to share and have differences. The
difference is that men think that the faster way to go to a point is to go
straight, and women know that the faster way to go to a point is to go through
the curves and fixing every curl.” This statement was the winning answer of
Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza during the 2008 Miss Universe competition. She
was asked the question “Do you believe men or women have it easier in life” and
answered it with grace and confidence. This month we celebrate the national
women’s month. This month we talk about empowered women and how they empower
and inspire others.
Over the decade, we saw phenomenal women
graced in their own field of interest. Many women made history in sports,
politics, academics, and many more. Some of the notable women’s are Jacinda
Ardern of New Zealand, Angela Merkel of Germany, Kamala Harris of the United
States of America, and our very own Pia Wurtzbach, Catriona Gray, and Hidilyn Diaz.
They all exceled in their own field and once again proving that they are worthy
in the eyes of the society. A woman as empowered has characteristic that shows
that they are worthy to inspire and make a change in our community. They also
have a feature that tells every one of us that they are woman who inspires
fellow woman to be brave and daring in life. Over the years, we have seen
countless discrimination and harassment towards women, and this month we want
them to know that woman can lead; woman can inspire others, woman can touch
others’ lives and most importantly women has made an impact to our society.
Women over the years have improved and made their selves worthy in their
respective fields, worthy in the eyes of the people, and most importantly, worthy
of freedom. We try to end gender discrimination and sexual harassment in our world;
we have been battling misogyny and sexism, and now it is time that we must
respect each other for the betterment of our world and community.
We have reach an era, where we should
respect everyone in our community. Respecting one another is a trait that we
all should have. Ending gender based discrimination and sexual harassment,
empowering women, and inspiring them to be empowered are the priorities during
this women’s month celebration. Women have fought long and hard to achieve what
is important for them, and what is right for them. So in this month we vowed to
become better citizen and must respect each other as a worthy citizen of our
country.
