Unconditional love from a Mother
Every
year we celebrate “Mother’s Day” in the second Sunday of May we honor this day
to our mothers who raised us, carry us, and supported us up until this date. Motherhood
means the state of being a mother. Being a mother probably is one of the
hardest jobs in the world, in fact mothers deserve the highest salary for their
hard work and sacrifices they have poured in us. You cannot deny the love and
joy they have given us all trough out our life. We have different ways in
celebrating mother’s day. We celebrate mother’s day by our tradition, but
different countries have different traditions, and therefore mother’s day is
celebrated differently per country.
The Second Sunday of May is the original date that the United Nations proclaimed as Mother’s Day. Countries such as the United States of America, Finland, Belgium and even in the Philippines. Mother’s day here in the Philippines is a very simple day for us. We try to go pray, in our churches, and afterwards have a special meryenda, lunch, or dinner. We celebrate it just like any special family gathering, saying “Happy Mother’s Day!” to every mother we know. Spending time with our families is the best thing to do during this special day. However, in some countries like the United Kingdom, they also celebrate Mother’s Day but the date changes every year since Mother’s Day is connected to Easter for them, and the date changes every year. To make it short, Mother’s Day in the United Kingdom is also the same way on how we celebrate it but it is not on the second Sunday of May. Some Latin American countries celebrates Mother’s Day during May 10. In Thailand, they celebrate Mother’s Day during the August 12, the birthday of their Queen. Countries have their own respective dates in celebrating their Mother’s Day, which makes it special to almost all countries.
No matter what date or time, valuing Mother’s Day means a lot for us. Celebrating motherhood means a lot to our mothers who have given us the comfortable life that we are enjoying now. We may not have the same date in celebrating Mother’s Day or we may not celebrate Mother’s Day that ostentatious, we should always remember that as long as we care and love our mothers that is what truly matters with the special day and no any hindrance could block us in celebrating a very wonderful day.

I absolutely agree with you! No matter the date and time, what's important is for us to show our gratitude for all of our mother's sacrifices and to make this day extra special. Great work!
ReplyDeleteDifferent dates nor how extravagant or simple the celebration is for mother's day, love is indeed the most important thing to have on that day for them. Because at the end of the day, material things won't really last; but genuine love from our loved ones will.
