This is it! Thank you for the lifetime memories

Image
As we approach the end of our junior high school life, I have cherished every moment whether face-to-face classes or modular learning. In ICT 10, 4 th quarter was a blast, I learned a lot and made new memories that I will forever keep. I am truly happy to experience one last face-to-face classes even though its limited and it is just one quarter. Moreover, with all the knowledge I gained during the 4 th quarter, I will surely use it in good use and will forever appreciate the sacrifices that were made just for us to enjoy and feel comfortable at school.             As one of the students who had their chance in joining face-to-face classes, our subject focuses on MS FrontPage, and we were given a chance to elaborate more of our community-based research. I have gained so much knowledge about MS FrontPage and how does it work. For the problems, I haven’t encountered a pro...

Adopt Green and be Clean

Image
Environmental issues are now rampant in our world today. Environmental problem are being experienced nowadays. Pollution, Global Warming, and many more, has a bad effect to our lives. Solutions have been made to end environmental problems, one of those are teaching proper waste management. Proper waste management is where you properly segregate your trash or waste, by using the 5R’s (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Restore and Repair) this system aims to lessen the waste that a human can commit a day, and to utilize the waste that is being disposed every day. It is a very complex strategy that everyone can adopt and should adopt.             “We’ve been trying to warn you guys for so many decades that we’re heading towards a catastrophe, and we’ve been being ignored,” This is what a NASA scientist says about our environment, Peter Kalmus a scientist, he was interviewed during the scientist protest in order to save our nature from d...

The Passion of a Father

Image
Father’s day, a wondrous day to celebrate and have fun with my family. We also celebrate and thank all the sacrifices our father made for us to be here in this world. The entirety of our life, the love and warmth of fathers is the best thing we can see and feel from them, and this day we take the time to celebrate and extend our gratitude to our fathers. They are the backbone or foundation of who we are today. They have helped us grow and be mature, teach us life lessons, and making sure that we live in a comfortable life.             The first father’s day was celebrated on June 19, 1910 in the state of Washington in the Unites States. However father’s day wasn’t really much of a big deal during that time. On July 5, 1908 a West Virginia church sponsored the nation’s first event to honor the day. Not until next year, in Spokane, Washington a woman named Sonora Smart Dodd, a child raised by a single father. She tried to est...

A Day to Commemorate, be Proud and give Respect

Image
July 4, 1946, our beloved Philippines has gained the independence we wished for so long. We fought many battles alongside with our allies who supported us up until this day. To declare Independence from the colonizers who have fought with us or made us on our knees because of the ruthless schemes they have poured unto us. Our Filipino compatriots made so many sacrifices, and must have been proud to see the Philippine flag being raised during the proclamation and inauguration of the Independence of our country. The road to the independence of our country is lengthy and treacherous. As a Filipino, we remain steadfast for the events that shocked our devotion for our country. June 12, we try to remember all the events that shattered the Filipino morale that led to the proclamation of our independence. 1565, we have been colonized by the Spaniards up until 189...

Unconditional love from a Mother

Image
Every year we celebrate “Mother’s Day” in the second Sunday of May we honor this day to our mothers who raised us, carry us, and supported us up until this date. Motherhood means the state of being a mother. Being a mother probably is one of the hardest jobs in the world, in fact mothers deserve the highest salary for their hard work and sacrifices they have poured in us. You cannot deny the love and joy they have given us all trough out our life. We have different ways in celebrating mother’s day. We celebrate mother’s day by our tradition, but different countries have different traditions, and therefore mother’s day is celebrated differently per country.                            The Second Sunday of May is the original date that the United Nations proclaimed as Mother’s Day. Countries such as the United States of Am...

A Phenomenal Woman, with a Genuine Beauty

Image
“Actually God made us to share and have differences. The difference is that men think that the faster way to go to a point is to go straight, and women know that the faster way to go to a point is to go through the curves and fixing every curl.” This statement was the winning answer of Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza during the 2008 Miss Universe competition. She was asked the question “Do you believe men or women have it easier in life” and answered it with grace and confidence. This month we celebrate the national women’s month. This month we talk about empowered women and how they empower and inspire others. Over the decade, we saw phenomenal women graced in their own field of interest. One Last Quarter

Image
Another Quarter done! One last quarter before we enter the senior high school life. It feels like the first week of quarter 3 was yesterday. Truly, time flies so fast! This quarter is different but differently fun than the last two quarters. A rollercoaster ride during the weeks of 3 rd quarter is one of the best memories of my grade 10 life. Although our subject is quite tricky to understand, it was fun answering modules this quarter.             In this quarter, TLE-ICT talks about community based research. Community based research (CBR) is a methodological practice that places community partnerships at the forefront. Community based research also covers a wide variety of areas within a single community. This is what I gained throughout the quarter in this subject. With the problems that I encountered, I did not encounter any problems in this quarter since the topics are easy to understand, and the task to be answer are ...

Immunity over the COVID-19 Virus

Image
The challenges brought by the pandemic is inevitable, especially to the young ones. COVID-19 is a threat mostly to children, teens, and senior citizens. Children and teens have to face the protocols given by our government, such as being in their homes until the virus is contained, no physical interactions. With that said, children and teens cannot go to schools, cannot play with their friends, and many more. However, as our government continues to vaccinate its fellow citizens, scientist and researchers are now happy to announce that COVID-19 vaccines are already approved to be at used for children and teens. We all have common questions such as, are the vaccines effective? Are we sure that the vaccines can protect us from the virus?              As the pandemic continues, we find ourselves not at ease because we cannot see who is infected or not. As the lockdo...

The Christmas Season here in Vigan City is not different with other provinces in our country. Here in Vigan we call Merry Christmas as “Naimbag a Paskua”. In our town, we like to celebrate it with our love ones. We also like to socialize and play games with our neighbors. Usually we would go to one house and we eat our Noche Buena there. Of course, we bring our share for our Noche Buena. However, that was all before COVID-19 happen. To be safe this season, our government made strict protocols for all of us. Our Success is Near

Image
The end of this quarter is just around the corner, I remember being nervous on how my grades are going to be last quarter. Time really flies so fast. This quarter may have been different from the previous one, but I can say that I learned a lot during the 2 nd quarter. ICT 2 nd quarter is pack with a lot of information I can use in the future.        This quarter I gained a lot of knowledge and information about HTML. I learned the basics of HTML, HTML tags, and many more. It is hard to understand during the first days since it is my first time learning about HTML files. Nevertheless, with the right guidance and information given, I can say it may be hard but it is easy to learn. The struggles that I encountered is probably the HTML tags is not working properly. This is the only struggle I encountered throughout the whole quarter. I solved the issue by asking our teacher that the tag is not working properly, she helped me explain everyt...
